Mode is a fintech startup in the crypto space, offering a wallet with built-in cashback rewards. They'd been moving fast, shipping features, adding functionality, trying to grow. But growth had stalled. The app was sitting at 2.2 stars, transactions were falling, and users were quietly walking away. Leadership wanted to push forward by adding more coins, but the real problem wasn't what was missing, it was what was broken. Mode didn't need new features. It needed to go back and fix the foundation. That's where I came in.
